Vintage Sterling Silver Turquoise Teardrop Cluster Pendant by Chester Charley
A substantial and striking vintage cluster pendant by celebrated Navajo silversmith Chester Charley. Eight round turquoise cabochons in vivid sky blue are set in milgrain-edged bezels and arranged in a tight cluster within a large teardrop-shaped sterling silver frame. The frame is bordered by a bold twisted rope edge with a sawcut outer surround and silver bead accents between each stone — a hallmark of classic Navajo cluster work at its finest.
This piece bears Chester Charley's transitional hallmark, which he began evolving from a simple stamped "C" to his "C. Charley" typeset or script signature during the late 1970s to early 1980s — making this a collectible piece of documented Navajo silversmithing history.
